My last day in Nepal was their new year day and a fitting end to this amazing trip.
Got so much love from Sabrina’s family. Her grand parents are so loving and caring, specially grand mother. She was so concerned about my well being- my food, that I ate too little 😊, what I was wearing, did I have a cap and not to forget the mask❤️👏
Most people go out for the night stay or spend the day visiting around and picnic etc with families or friends at new year time. On new year day they make a special dish of all kinds of beans and rice etc called Qwati😊 Enjoyed it 😊
Sabrina’s family lives in Kirtipur and we visited a park nearby, on the banks of Baghmati, with many caves 😊 Later we went to a lake with lots of fish. Whole area is so beautiful with hills in the background. Not a touristy place but very popular with locals 😊 So good to see happy and cheerful people all around 😊❤️
The previous evening was at Thamel, the touristy shopping hub of Kathmandu. Beautiful place with small winding lanes filled with shops and cafes. The evening was so pleasant and not so crowded as most were traveling outside the city. Thamel is a must on every tourist’s itinerary 😊
