A few weeks back I had shared the beautiful experiences I had at Pashupatinath Temple and the Caves of Masters in Kathmandu, Nepal
All this enchanting time I had was marred a little by the sight of the monkey in a cage next to Naropa’s cave. I was told that the monkey had started to bite people at a very young age and the people in charge decided to build a big enclosed structure for him. Thank God they didn’t take the easy way out of killing him 👏
He seems to be pretty docile now. I wonder what goes on in his mind? What kind of karmic play is this? Is it his good fortune that he is living next to two enlightened masters in holy Pashupatinath temple? Has he descended from a human to a monkey due to some bad karma or he is now ready to be a human? I have no clue. God only knows. But I do wish him the very best.
Freedom has been the driving force for me all my life. It saddens me to see individuals without freedom, nations without freedom or the caged animals.
I hope and pray that all of us live free in peace, harmony and love 💕
