Sometimes….

Sometimes I don’t want the night to end…

I want to keep roaming in the starry night on the wings of the wind, astride grey and dark clouds!

Sometimes I want to step into the ocean and sink deep into its peace!

Sometimes I want Time to halt just awhile to let me catch up!!

Sometimes I want Time to pause and

Sometimes I want it to go back 4 decades and more!!

Sometimes I don’t want my dreams to end and

Sometimes I don’t want to come out of the stillness of my mind!!

Sometimes I wonder who is the one who is thinking, who am I!!

Sometimes I wonder whether I am living in acceptance and surrender or in denial?

Sometimes I wonder: if I myself am so lost how can I preach and how can I teach?

Sometimes I cry at the pain and the suffering all around, brought by the greed of a few powerful and the rich!!

Sometimes I want to walk away into the deep, dark night; away from all this……

And the day breaks

And I smile

And I think

God knows what He is doing!!

Surrender or denial

Does it really matter….

My Forgotten Love and Joy 💕

This post is dedicated to my beautiful and creative niece: Barbara. In her response to the nomination of Small Joy Tag of mine, she had mentioned her love for the sea 🌊

And this made me think: I love the sea so much but hadn’t mentioned it in my list of 15 Small Joys 🤔 One reason of course is that there are hundreds of things that give me joy 😊 and the other was: I had mentioned only those joys which have been around me these past 5-6 months 🤩 and had completely forgotten my amazing last year and my love for sea. Out of sight, out of mind 😇

It was just last year and it appears like another life time! Less than a year ago I had gone to East Coast of North America to see the fall colours. It feels like a dream now! And my visit Around the World and visiting 4 continents in 4 months was earlier last year, and it feels like another life time😇

I love the sky. I can watch it for hours. But the sky doesn’t give me the feeling of infinitude, which the sea does. I can sit for hours watching the vast expanse of sea, lost in a reverie. Sunrises and sunsets on water bodies are simply divine 💖

Guru Nanak Dev, founder of Sikh religion, in his Sukhmani Sahib has mentioned:

Water = Heavenly Father

Earth = Divine Mother

Wind = Guru preceptor

And I have had so many amazing experiences of wind and my Guru, Paramahansa Yogananda. When I am in any water body with wind blowing and hills around – for me that is Heaven.

My Love affair continues 💖

It has been 4 months now that I have been at home and my love affair with the sky continues 💖💕😍

I love the sky and the ever changing cloud formations. They tell so many stories. The way they play hide and seek with sun and moon is so endearing. I can sit and watch them for hours 😍😍

Sky is exceptionally beautiful during monsoon 💖💖

In a way every day is new and every cloud formation is new. And yet there is nothing new.

I have been watching the dance and play of swifts in the mornings. And same crows and pigeons – at times observing social distancing completely and at times throwing all caution to the winds😂💖

They are my new found friends. In fact my only outside physical contact with the world just now. I wonder what they talk about? Do they discuss the peaceful new environment? Are they scared of going back to the restless and noisy world of yesterday?

Oh how I love the mornings:

Stillness

Peace

Beauty

And the whole of nature performing for me; its only audience….Alone yet not lonely…

Sky, Birds, Me and my thoughts…..and the love affair continues 💕💕
