United in Fear

Am so happy

To see us all

Standing United!

Families and Friends,

Communities and Nations,

Of the World

At large!

Yes, I am happy

At the same time sad;

That we stand

UNITED in FEAR

And shall soon scatter

And depart!

So sad but true

Just wait and watch;

For we have more Fear

And much less

Faith and Love

In our Hearts!

A day will come

Maybe in times

Distant and far;

When we shall

STAND UNITED

But never again

Scatter and Depart !

For then we

Shall be together,

Once again;

Not in Fear but LOVE,

For One and ALL!

I am Praying

I am Praying

For that is the Highest I can do!

I am praying for the ones

Suffering from the virus,

And I am praying

For all scary souls

Thoroughly bewildered

And completely lost!

I am praying for

The Doctors and the Nurses,

And am praying for all

The Helping Hands;

Who are working tirelessly

In all the lands!

I am praying

For the Destitute,

The Homeless,

The daily Wage Earners

And for all,

Who are Marginalised!

I am praying More for

Ones suffering from

The greatest virus of all,

FEAR

Which has paralysed

Our Intellects and

Power of Thought!

And I am praying Utmost

For the Dictators,

And the Oppressors,

The Subjugators

And their kinds!

Who seem to have everything,

But have lost

Their Hearts

And their Souls Divine!

So let us PRAY

And strengthen our FAITH

For that is HIGHEST

We can do,

Every minute and

Every hour of the day!!!

PS: I learned this great lesson from our Swami Shraddhanandaji, a very senior monk of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India and Self Realisation Fellowship founded by Paramahansa Yogananda more than a century ago.

We shouldn’t say: The only thing I can do is pray. It is the best, it is the highest we can do. And yes we can and should give any other help and assistance we can give.

I had the honour and the privilege to be with him for a few days, earlier this month, and I learned so much.

Please do check out the Home Study Lessons of Paramahansa Yogananda, at SRF and YSS websites. These cover everything we need to take care of our body, mind and soul, in all times, and specially at testing times like these.

Why Corona Why

Dear Corona,

Why have you come

Whence have you come

When would you go

Whither would you go

Are there other planets

And dimensions that you roam?

Corona, O mighty Corona

Do tell us all that you know!

O yee humans

I am a tiny little virus

What would I know

That you already don’t!

Yet however small and however little

I am part of the One Big Whole!

I shall do my bit and leave

As others before me have

I know it and accept it

I don’t have grand dreams!

But yee mighty humans

Who are blessed

With such INTELLECT and

CONSCIOUSNESS supreme

Why do you kill?

Oh why, humans, why

do you suppress

And subjugate

Your very own

Is there no end

To your greed?

Like me you too shall leave

You too shall have to go back

Like others before you

But you still don’t learn

And you still don’t see

That you too are a nothing

Just like me!

O humans, wake up

Wake up before you

Are smothered and vanquished

Just like me and the likes of me!

Kill me if you would

But don’t hate me

For: Hate consumes the Hater

And not the one hated.

How many vaccines

Would you make

How many remedies

Would you use

Mightier viruses would come

And shall keep coming too

Till you learn …

Till you learn

To become more humane

Till you learn

To become more kind,

And till you learn

Oh yes, till you learn

To conquer your very own

INNER-SELVES!!

For I am not your enemy

It is within you

And it is your EGO

Which is MIGHTY BIG

And not the tiny me!!

Let go of your Ego

And let go of your Pride

Bow down with Humility

Then you shall learn

That there is no separation

We are all ONE – LOVE

We know so little

It is so easy to find fault

It is so difficult to do!

It is easy to see what is wrong

It is difficult to do what is right!

When we say how stupid

It is we who lack wisdom!

To see beyond the seeming

And perceive the Truth!

Alas! We know so little

And we judge too quickly ☺️

Falling Leaves 🍁

Winter is yet to say bye

Spring isn’t saying hi

But leaves are falling all around

Is it autumn’s hi?

If trees start to worry

About the fallen leaves

How shall

Fresh blossoms bloom?

Falling leaves are His blessing

Sunshine warms the heart

Beauty in His own handwriting

Heavenly and sublime

Life is beautiful and divine

Fallen leaves or

Blossoms fresh

Adding different hues to its charm

Be a Bliss Billionaire 💕💕

I would rather be A Bliss Billionaire than a Dollar Millionaire 💕💕

My grand daughter is very conscious of looking good! And I always tell her happy people always look beautiful 😊😍😊

It is so very sad to see the bulk of humanity completely lost seeking their happiness and fulfilment in possessions, things money can buy. But it is a mirage😌

Paramahansa Yogananda, author of Autobiography of a Yogi, had often said : Be a Smile Millionaire 😊 💕And I have heard so many accounts of how happy and cheerful he always was.

The pic above is Paramahansa Yogananda’s last smile. It was taken just an hour or so before his maha samadhi (A Yogi’s conscious exit from the body)

Any unhappy saint would be a sad saint indeed 😊

All the pleasures associated with material possessions and comforts are transitory. They come and they go. But if we dive deep inside us and touch our souls we shall realise our true blissful nature; and we shall see the futility of chasing and looking for happiness in the transitory and the ephemeral.

If we look at life impersonally, we shall be able to see it as The Reality Show it is; every day a new episode. If life didn’t have its ups and downs, it’s successes and failures; it would hardly be worthwhile. To watch the same show everyday, however well made, would be pointless and monotonous. Do not take this show seriously 😇

Whatever your role in the changeable mortal life, never forget that you are immortal, and endowed with eternal joy. Your very nature is bliss.

You need not give up your ambitions and live in negation; on the contrary, let everlasting joy, which is your real nature, help you realize all your noble and worthwhile goals.

Make service your goal rather than money, and you will see the entire cause-effect principle of your life change. Abundance will flow in your life. When we act solely to benefit ourselves, such selfishness limits our consciousness, constricting the opening through which abundance, true prosperity and joy flows into our lives.

Let us all be: Smile Millionaires and Bliss Billionaires 💕😊💕

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness, and all these things will be added unto thee … Mathew 6.33

Thy Majesty 💕💕

Thou art a magician!

Thine unseen touch changes our blemish into beauty, our emptiness into fullness, our life’s harshness into sweet tenderness.

The marvel of Thine infinite majesty fills my heart with wordless ecstasy 💕💕

Living in Today’s World beset with Turmoil.

We are living in very uncertain times. 2020 has just begun but the news around the world is not exciting – to say the least 😌

Bush fires in Australia, Revolution in Lebanon, President Trump blowing his trumpet in Iraq, PM Modi doing likewise back home… just to name a few. And the blogging world is filled with personal pain and tragedies- child abuse, sexual abuse, gender discrimination, joblessness, physical abuse, depression and what not.

I am rarely given to negativity and usually shun mass media. But it does effect us all once in a while and I am no exception. Luckily I come out of it quickly.

A couple of months back things weren’t so exciting in my dear country and my dearest friend mentioned blood in her post. I was so disturbed and couldn’t sleep for a few days. While meditating one day I vividly remembered Paramahansa Yogananda telling his close disciples: The world is a joke played by Him on us all; don’t take it so seriously. I laughed out loud and that broke the spell 😊I came out of the negative mood I had fallen into. And remembered my own post : Life is a Reality Show

Politicians are same all over the world. Only degrees vary. And then there are behind the scene manipulators, king makers and power brokers. As it is things aren’t exciting but media makes it worse.

What to do? How do we survive in today’s world filled with so much negativity and turmoil? In one of his talks during Second World War, Paramahansa Yogananda had said, Don’t worry, the world is not going to end. Thank God it didn’t! And it is not going to end even now😊

I recently read an article by President and spiritual head of Self Realisation Fellowship (Yogoda Satsanga Society of India) – Brother Chidananda. SRF is a non-sectarian and non profit organisation set up by Paramahansa Yogananda. Swami Chidanandaji wrote of how to deal with the current world situation. That was very enlightening and am sharing a few excerpts:

… This world of duality has always been and will always be a battle ground between light and darkness; but the assault on God’s eternal truths of goodness and moral values can seem perceptibly higher in our era of near-constant exposure to the barrage of a adharma and negativity that infiltrates our inner and outer environments through the Internet and other mass communication media.

But we need not give in to discouragement about the future. Remember that even as social media can magnify the in-harmonious voice of a single person, thereby affecting countless others far beyond that individual’s immediate circle, so there is equal or greater potential to amplify the influence of truth, beauty, goodness, wisdom, compassion— all heavenly qualities of the soul image of God in every human being. ….

The mass Karma that influences the unfolding drama of world events — in our present era as in all others — is not always understood by limited human intellect. Ultimately, a nation’s leaders are a symptom, not a cause, of the prevailing mix of good and evil in that society, and its mass karma.

While the actions of individual politicians may be of temporary concern, more important in the long term is the need of the masses of individuals to remove the evils of the godlessness, immorality, and adharmic living from their hearts.

If you find yourself too frequently thinking, reading, and talking about what is wrong in the world or in your own life, try to change your focus. Use that time and energy to think good thoughts, to pray, to perform good actions and service and generosity, and to work on becoming a person who exudes kindness, understanding, and cheerfulness. By doing so, you will uplift your own consciousness and that of others…

Aum Amen Ameen Peace

PS: 2020 is a challenging year for all of us, all over the world. Let us hope and pray that our pain, our suffering, which had started with Lunar eclipse on the 10th of January 2020 in Capricorn ♑️ would end on the 5th of June 2020: the next lunar eclipse in Gemini ♊️
